Hey there everyone!
As you’re well aware the V40k team is actually quite small. At the moment the two main contributors are myself and Danjaman, we have others lending a hand but we (especially me!) do a lot of the work.
That’s why we need you!
The main reason behind this plea is University starts for both me and Danjaman in September. Neither of us will be able to work on V40k as much during Uni time. Which if any of you are students you’ll know how busy it’ll be.
I’ll still be sticking around to manage things for as long as I can, updates may be distant but I want to keep it organised and professional for as long as I can and not return the module to the disgrace it was when I found it, I’ve worked too much to allow that.
Artists
The biggest pain in the rear is finding artists who can match my work, or come close, I know that makes me sound “big headed” but meh.
We need people who are willing to work on art for the V40k module and Fantasy (If we get it going). V40k is almost done it’ll just be small updates for that.
I’m prepared to “teach” a group of individuals the basics of how I work with the graphics in the V40k module. Simple.
Use the Contact Form to let me know you’re interested. Include some work if you possibly can.
Programmers/Coders
Now I don’t know what the “official” name that you guys go by but whatever.
Fantasy is becoming an annoyance, we need a simple movement system writing for the module. So you need to know how the Engine works, I can’t supply you with any knowledge, so the VassalEngine.org site is your best bet to look for information on how to do this.
Again use the Contact Form to let us know you’re interested.
Naturally I can’t be around forever and it hurts me to think about leaving but it must happen at some point and I’d like to leave the site, the modules and the team in good hands!
Vassal Engine are happy to announce the release of VASSAL 3.1.7. See http://www.vassalengine.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2224 for the release notes and download links.

If you’ve been following the Forums or the random twitter notes to the right you’ll notice work on V40k:EPIC has begun.
For those not up to date: We currently have a V40k:EPIC module available, but we felt that it wasn’t what we wanted, so we’re going back to basics and restarting the entire thing, better graphics, better performance, more armies and so on. Updates soon!
Also, we can’t start Epic without seeing some new units created for 40k!
A while ago I posted a new Ork Warboss I was working on,

Well I’ve gone back to working on the Greenskins! Should have them done for Version 5.3 which is (hopefully) due in September.
Here’s a preview of one of the Ork boys:
These boys have the MOST sets are armour, weapons, heads etc. You’ll probably notice the “random” trait in effect on certain models in the module, heads move and so on. Well the Ork boys currently have 4 choppas, 4 sluggas, 4 back/bodys, 7 armour sets, 4 gubbin sets, 6 heads and much much more. And that’s only for the Slugga boy!
Vassalbowl is just around the corner folks! To get you all into the Bloodbowl spirit I’ve “Bloodbowlified“ the site!
Now is the time to download the FREE rule book from GW and start reading, it’s a fantastic game, challenging, insane and completely random at one once!
Amazing to think of what we’ve created here, the modules that is, all the different players from around the world that might never have been in contact if it wasn’t for Vassal. One of these players is a writer for Site of the Gaming Dead.
He was kind enough to hunt me down for a brief interview which we had on the Vassal Server. Now, punctuation and speaking have never been my strong point. As you can tell from the posts here!
So, we’re leaving it up to you, the public and players, to tell us what you’d like to see terrain wise. Hell throw in any other suggestions while you;re at it. Except don’t bother me about FW/APOC units.
So yeah, terrain! I already started on some River Terrain:
